Bayer Leverkusen Germany international centre-back Jonathan Tah has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season amid interest from a number of clubs.

Tah’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until June 30 this year, and there have been persistent rumors that he will leave the club when his contract expires this summer. He has now confirmed the news, but has not yet specified when.

“To be honest, I don’t have a specific time frame, but the club knows about it and it’s the same as it’s always been,” Tah said.
Tah has been able to negotiate with foreign clubs since the start of January, giving Barcelona, who have shown interest, an advantage over Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who are also keen to sign him on a free.
Bayern had previously trie to sign Tah last summer but fail to agree a fee with Bayer Leverkusen, despite the 29-year-old defender having a year left on his contract.
Barcelona are one of several clubs to have been link with Tah, with previous speculation suggesting a deal is all but done.
However, those rumors have gone a little quiet recently, with Barcelona’s financial situation still an issue ahead of the summer transfer window.
Barca also have an overbooking of central defenders and will have to offload players if they want to add to the squad.
